By Rex Luciferius

Kurt Cobain was quoted as saying that Leadbelly was his personal favorite artist and even claimed Leadbelly was the anonymous favorite artist of the entire Nirvana band.
Nirvana covered the Leadbelly song Where did you sleep last night.
The song was released by Bob Dylan in his debut album and then shortly after it was made famous in the early 1960’s by The Animals and was later covered by The Doors and even The Beatles covered it if you can find a rare bootleg version of the song from The Black Album.
It has been covered by Jimi Hendrix, U2, The Eagles and even Bon Jovi as well as Joan Baez, Dolly Parton, Sinead O’Connor and Tracy Chapman.
