iTunes Review
As much an aural collage as a straightforward art-rock treatise, the album uses its 43 minutes to link speaking voices, sound effects-heavy musique concrète, a bravura performance by session singer Clare Torry (“The Great Gig in the Sky”), moody existentialist statements (“Time,” “Us and Them”), and a funk-rooted strut (“Money”).

Amazing
Somehow I hadn’t heard of this album until now and wow. This is a timeless piece of art, I consider myself to be an avid rap fan but something about this LP just kept me listening. The production is ahead of its time for sure and the layered vocals leave me in a trance. I’m going to listen to the rest of Pink Floyd’s discography and see how it compares. This is one of my few albums I would consider a 10/10.
i love this band
I’m only 12 but i wish i lived in the time when rock was popular instead of a bunch of lazy crap. so poetic and beautiful.

So, as a start, I purchased the entire album, without knowing what ride I was gonna endure. Soon after listening to the whole album, I wasn’t just satisfied. I was amazed. The album changed my view of music, and on life, and I can never thank it enough.

Pink Floyd grounded that limitless sound with exacting explorations of mundane matters of ego, mind, memory, and heart, touching upon madness, alienation, narcissism, and society on their concept albums of the ’70s. Of these concept albums, Dark Side of the Moon resonated strongest,…
