The poor man’s ramen noodles

I really despise the song “Hey There Delilah”. Melodrama served with a side of indifference. A bowl of Ramen noodles is more dynamic that this album and its band. At least they are honest with us: “Plain White T’s”. Translation: there is really nothing special about us, we come in a pack of 4 or 5, and every couples years you buy a new pair and throw us out.

Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, the punk-pop outfit Plain White T’s began taking shape in 1997, a full ten years before the acoustic ballad “Hey There Delilah” made them Grammy-nominated stars. Lead singer Tom Higgenson was originally fascinated with the drums, having served as the percussionist for various rock bands during high school.
