Bog Seger occupies the same “blue-collar heartland rock” wheelhouse as contemporaries like Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp. The title track, “Rock and Roll Never Forgets,” and “Mainstreet” were all huge hits, setting the stage for a solid decade’s worth of classic Seger singles, including “We’ve Got Tonight,” “Like a Rock,” “Old Time Rock and Roll,” and “Against the Wind.”
